In the heart of the Dolomites in Val Gardena, Mille997 carried out a bespoke project for a luxury hotel in the center of Ortisei, a village nestled among the most enchanting landscapes of Trentino-Alto Adige.
The project consisted of two distinct interventions, each designed to enhance spaces with different characteristics.
The first intervention involved laser decoration of MDF panels. The chosen pattern features a damask effect that is first engraved and then filled with glossy black paint, creating a striking contrast with the matte black MDF surface.
The decorated panels were installed at key points in the room, including the headboards, bedside tables, and mirror frames.
For the same project, MILLE997 also oversaw a second high-impact intervention. A custom stone-effect graphic was designed specifically for the client and then printed on aluminium sheets. The project was conceived to harmonize with the tones and textures already present in the hotel’s interiors, maintaining a balance between a modern and alpine style.
The high-definition printing process ensures an excellent material quality, reproducing the depth and nuances typical of natural stone while maintaining the lightness and ease of installation of aluminium.
One of the most significant aspects of the work concerns the installation method: the sheets were applied directly onto the existing porcelain stoneware cladding, thanks to the aluminium panels’ thickness, only 1 mm. This solution made it possible to: reduce construction time, minimize operational disruption and keep costs under control while ensuring a high-end aesthetic result and perfect integration with the overall room design.
Through this dual intervention, Mille997 combines tailored craftsmanship with the ability to coordinate furnishings and decorations, creating an environment that is not only modern and sophisticated but also truly unique and distinctive, which goes beyond the single design element.
